Remember during the PS4 unveil, when Square Enix re-showed that Agni's Philosophy Tech Demo trailer from seemingly ages ago and then ended their presentation by simply saying "that's all folks; we'll have more at E3!"?

Square Enix has unveiled the very first trailer (thanks GameTrailers) for yet another title in the Final Fantasy XIII spin-off series, this time titled Lighting Returns. While details are still slim on what exactly we can expect from the third title in the Final Fantasy XIII, players can expect to take control of returning character Lightning in what seems to be the ending of his chapter.

Lightning will be the playable character - with a highly evolved range of techniques for battles and exploring the environment. Customise Lightning with a large range of different outfits and weapons; that affect not only the way she looks, but also her actions and abilities.

A new battle system gives a level of direct control over the action unlike any FINAL FANTASY game, while having iconic elements that are known and loved throughout the series too. You can check out the trailer to get a glimpse at what you can expect from the long-running series, including overview of the new action battle system.

A new poster was revealed on Saturday in regards to the upcoming multiplatform title, “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII,” during a Distant World concert event. Although the new image did not have any visual flair (it only contains a plain dark checkered background with the game’s logo), it did provide some new details on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game. You can check out the poster, as well as the article (via Nova Crystallis twitter) and the details below.

According to Nova Crystallis, the new poster confirms several music composers for “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.” Masashi Hamauzu, Mitsuto Suzuku, and Naoshi Mizuta will all return to their roles from “Final Fantasy XIII-2.” [SOURCE]
