#Discussion: Favorite/Least Favorite DLC Costume for Serah?

SO THE LAST of Serah's costumes has come and gone (with the exception of this one, but I suppose it got scrapped or its on hold) and this feels as good a time as any to ask. What was your favorite or least favorite DLC costume for Serah in XIII-2?

#Discussion: Serah and the "Slutty" Bikini Mutiny

If you consider Tumblr a significance place of gauging fandom reactions to anything about anything, then as of late, you might've noticed a sporadic debate among Serah Farron fans about her alternate costume (numero #3 or #2) available with the purchase of the DLC ("Heads or Tails" or the "Lighting" DLC, one of the two). I've seen plenty who expressed their dislike toward it without falling into the categories that alert the Feminist Arguments, most of them poise the question "Why the fanservice, Square?" alongside side "I just don't like it".

New Final Fantasy XIII-2 screen features Sarah

Square Enix has released a brand new screen for their upcoming multiplatform role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIII-2. The latest image features one of the main protagonists in the role-playing game, Serah Farron, who previously appeared in Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning’s sister is now one of the playable characters in the direct sequel. The new shot is a cinematic scene featuring Serah and her pendant. On the bottom of the screen, the subtitle read “Look, my pendant has a brand new chain.”

In addition to the new image, Square Enix also revealed that they will be releasing more screens and details for their upcoming role-playing game on August 11th. [SOURCE]

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Has Other New Characters Besides Noel

Noel joins the Final Fantasy XIII cast as the main character of Final Fantasy XIII-2. But he won't be the only major new character in the game. In an interview in this week's Famitsu (summed up at Sokuho), art director Isamu Kamikokuryo reveals that there will be other new "main characters" besides Noel.

It's unclear what Kamikokuryo means by "main" characters, as the game's producer and director have said that the story will center on Noel and Serah, the two characters who were playable in the E3 demo. At the very least, it looks like we can expect some additional major additions to the cast. Characters from the original FFXIII will be returning as well, of course. Kamikokuryo said that players will be able to see slightly grown up versions of the past characters, and how they're now living.

!Discussion: Wielding a Bow = Feminine according to Square Enix

SERAH HAS A BOW to maintain her femininity? What the hell Square Enix? What are you saying about Lightning, Fang and Vanille then? They are men in in disguise, is Lightning truly Cloud Strife and Squall Leonhart in a skirt?

Square Enix confirms Serah as FFXIII-2's lead character

A representative of Square Enix at a private session last week confirmed that the lead character in the upcoming sequel, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be Serah. In Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning was the main character as she finds her long lost sister, Serah, but in a sequel it will be the other way around. In XIII-2, gamers will get to play both the characters, telling the story why Lightning went missing but from two different perspectives.

It was also confirmed that for the most part of the gameplay, Serah will team up Mog and Noel to find Lightning, and the game will be narrated by Lightning. [SOURCE]

Final Fantasy XIII-2 comparison screens: Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360 E3 trailers

Square Enix released trailers for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII-2 at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. Aside from a few different camera angles, the videos contain mostly the same sequences, which make it easy to match both footage side by side as closely as possible. Please take note that the Playstation 3 version of the same scene is always shown first, followed by the Xbox 360 one. [SOURCE]

More Details on Final Fantasy XIII-2's Multiple Endings, Serah, Snow and Lightning

During an E3 2011 interview today, Final Fantasy XIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama revealed that the game will include multiple endings. The developer and I were discussing FF XIII-2’s apparent shift away from Snow and Serah’s love story to Serah’s search for her sister Lightning. Toriyama pointed out that the love story angle may not be going away completely, and that the player will be able to influence the game's conclusion.

!Discussion: Serah's Possible Eidolon

Came across a rather interesting conversation on Serah's talk page at the Final Fantasy Wikia about what her possible Eidolon might be if she ever becomes a playable character in whatever XIII sequels arise as a direct continuation of the primary game's storyline (XIII-2 looks completely Lightning centric (to my dismay) and I don't see how any of the other characters could appear or work within the confines of what the teaser trailer happens to be implying about the storyline).

As seen below one user believes her Eidolon might be ARK from Final Fantasy XI due to her nickname "Princess" (a name/nickname for the character Garnet/Dagger from said game), one doesn't believe Serah would active engage in combat (more than likely because of her "passive" or opposite nature of her sister) and therefore an Eidolon would be wasted on her character as there's no specific element (that isn't already used) to connect the character with.
